Rainbow

Its Never Too Late by Howard W. Stevens

Manasseh was able to repent and experience God's forgiveness and grace. Manasseh's repentance enabled him to finish well. God's grace can reach anyone, even the most despicable sinner. Manasseh provides a wonderful Old Testament example of this. God can take the rest of your life—no matter how long or short it may be—and make it the best of your life.

Jordan River

Aaron's Grandson the Other Jericho Spy by Jim Cole-Rous

Joshua needed young trustworthy men for this job, and perhaps two would be enough. He needed men of integrity and courage as well as standing with the people. He remembered Salmon's cousin, Phinehas had distinguished himself and how God had approved the young man's actions.

COMING IN OCTOBER: SIGNIFICANT CELEBRATIONS

Sukkah Tent

The Feast of Tabernacles: A Harvest Festival by Jim Thornber

During the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, Gabriel appeared to Mary. This would have been around the twenty-fifth of Kislev, or December, which is the time of Chanukah, or the Feast of Lights. By adding eight days for the festival of Chanukah to the nine months for Mary's pregnancy, this will bring us to Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, which is Tishri 15, the day Jesus, the Son of God, came and tabernacled among men.
