Trapped Men Rescued by Jim Cole-Rous

As the first of 33 miners trapped 2,300 feet underground in the collapsed mine in San Jose, Chile, stepped out of the Phoenix rescue capsule, sirens sounded across the Copiapo Mine, the families clapped and shouted with joy. After 69 days the first man had been brought to the surface. As I watched I thought of a similar but even greater rescue. From greater depths, an even greater number of fine men were brought out.
